A friend of my sister-in-laws, Shannon, is an AWESOME photographer! We had a little photo shoot at this old car junk yard kind of place. The cars there were like from the 1920's! HE'S HERE!!! The hospital was supposed to call me in the morning about 7, when they had room for me to be induced, but Owen had a different plan. I started having small contractions about 7:30 am and they gradually got worse. At 8:30 I told brad i couldn't wait anymore. We headed to the hospital and got to the room a little after 9. The nurse just took her time, going over everything that she needed. (All I could think was... where the HECK is my epidural) She finally checked me and I was already dilated to an 8. I then told here that i HAVE seen TLC and know that when you are that far along, a lot of the times you don't get an epidural. She tried to convince me there was still hope and to have faith, but Brad and I knew right when she said that.... " it ain't happnin!! She tried to rush my blood work so the anesthesiologistesioligist could come do his thing, but my water had broke. So about 10 o'clock I STILL hadn't had my epidural and I NEEDED to push. My doctor came rushing in putting on his close AND 13 MINUTES LATER.......

Lily was so excited to see us bring Owen home. She really isn't all that interested in him. But she is very gentle, and loving.... she is going to be a great big sister!

Dear baby Owen... not only do I feel that you are very comfortable staying in a few more weeks, but somehow I believe you have turned my darling 2 year old into a terror the last week. She senses your presence! So Im writing this letter to inform you that you and I are taking a little trip to the hospital tomorrow morning where they will FORCE YOU OUT!! ha Ha HA!!

Kankles!

Yes I'm STILL pregnant... and obviously so are my FEET!! (I spared you the side picture of my ankles, where I can make an imprint of my finger and it stays!) I swear this is how the genius who came of with playdough or moonsand got his idea!

* On a happier note... If the little babe isn't out by the 12th... their going to force him out on the 14th!!! YAY!!!!

Got Nails?

My worst nightmare has come! LILY BITES HER NAILS!!! Really honestly... I knew she had NO chance, considering Brad and I are huge nail biters, but SHE'S 2!!!! I was having so much fun painting her beautiful nails... dreaming that one day I would be able to paint my own! BUT NO. People this is serious! I pull full pieces of nail out of her mouth all day LONG! My poor dream ... is...well...CRUSHED!

I LOVE being her mom!

Late this afternoon I took Lily to the pool. We had so much fun together. Sometimes I feel like I'm a little hard on her, because she sooo SMART! (yeah that's right... my kids smarter than your kid!...just kidding) so it makes me feel like she is older than she is... but really, she is such a good girl. She tells me she loves me everyday. I call her my leech, because i can't even go to the bathroom without her. That's annoying! But I love watching her grow, and become this little lady. I feel so blessed to be HER mom.

And... I still haven't had the little BOOGER! Or should I say

Update

Well I went to the doctor today and I'm measuring right on the money. I tried to talk to him and tell him that both Brad and I were 10 lbs... but he calculates the baby to deliver around 8. I then went on to tell him that I WILL SUE HIM IF I HAVE A 10 lb BABY! He seemed to be pretty confident.

I AM dilated though.... to a 2 and 50% effaced. So we will see how much longer I can hang out.

and just because a post isn't a post without a couple of pictures of Lily...

I have been so tired lately! Im sure not even close to as tired as Im going to be having 2 kids, but Im still excited. I was having kind of a ruff day today and Brad said "I love you honey.... even if I had more wives... you would still be my favorite!" hahha i know! Im going to take that as a compliment and forget it.

My recent conversations with Lily have been well.... hilarious

Example 1          (Lily) "um Mom you belly is too big"

Example 2         (Me) "hey Lil, do you want to bless the food"

                            (Lily) "ok....Heavenly Father, thank you for my noodles, 

                             thank you for my cup...thank you for my water... 

                             thank you for my fork........" 

                            This goes on for like 5 minutes!

Example 3         (Lily) "old McDonald had a camel... E I E I O. With a ______ um MOM!  

                            What DOES a camel say?"

                            (Me)  "I dont know Lily, sorry"

                            (Lily) "hmm... Old McDonald had a donkey E I E I O. 

                            (serioulsy can't McDonald have normal animals!)

Example 4         (Lisa) "Hey Lily, can you do this?" (Lisa puts her hands up in a heart shape)

Peace at the Pool

 

Can I just say, I am a huge fan of arm floaties!!! I took Lily to the pool today and we tried her dollar store arm floaties! They're awesome! I know I sound a little too excited about something that has been around for awhile, but they took so much stress off my day. Once Lily got the hang of letting go of my hands, and knowing that she will still float... I wasn't chasing her around the pool or steps to make sure she didn't fall in. After like 15 minutes she was pushing off the stairs and gliding out to me, in the middle of the pool. Yes... she glided... there was NO kicking :)

Our Memorial Day Weekend

Everyone was posting about their fun camping trips and memorial day fun i decided to post about our memorial day MOVE! Yup, we found a place in Raleigh NC and moved in on Saturday. All of our boxes are about unpacked and we are getting a little more settled. 

As we were unpacking... i couldn't help to notice how many dang hats Brad has... ITS RIDICULOUS! This is just one bag... I opened 2 MORE HUGE boxes of them.

"Say hello to my little friend." This moth is actually really huge. Lily loved it, until it flew in her face... then she ran away screaming crying! ha ha

AND the mess begins!!
Brad took all of Lily toys in our trailer probably about 3 months ago in February. So when we got all her toys out... she thought they were all NEW! She kept saying "Oh mom look at my new____" Or "MOM! Look a new horse!" I've come to the conclusion that we should never buy kids toys... we should take them away and give them back months later! Would that be mean? She hasn't come out of her room since.



That should do it... besides eating our dinner on packing boxes this weekend, that about rounds up our exciting memorial day.
