If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently, it becomes special because you have made it so.

Remember when...

Owen (9 months), Zack (10months)
I got to watch my friends kids tonight! We had such a blast! We decided to build a fort in the living room which I haven't done since I was a kid (but I would say I'm a pretty dang good fort builder!) The smell of the popcorn made my mouth water.... but all I had were mini bags, so I saved the deliciousness for the girls. By the way I will NEVER buy MINI bags again! Mini bags are for wussies!!
HAHA didn't even notice that Lil was making the same face as the TV! We will pretend that was on purpose and not just to be defiant!
They wanted all the lights turned out! Seriously is this not the coolest thing you have ever seen!
Building this fort made me feel like a kid again. I love when my kids help me feel young again! I need it sometimes. Brad is at work till 4 in the morning tonight. Maybe when he gets home he will see me in the tent and want to some sleep under the stars with me...

OOO LA LA!

OK So these are what I have been really crushing on for the last month! My sister somehow talked me into running a 5K with her at the end of May, and the shoes I have now are 5 years old. My problem is I have super high arches and when I wear regular shoes for long periods of time my arch aches!! I found these pretty babies at Nike, but they also have them at Nordstrom. You take a tiny little test and they tell you the best shoe for your feet! I'm in love...

Happy 9 months!

I might be alone, but as a mother with one child pregnant with my second, I had a lot of worries. One of my concerns was "could I love another baby as much as I love Lily?" Then the baby comes and the worries disappear, the first time you hold your baby in your arms. We get the teeniest glimpse of what our Father in Heaven must feel for us and our children.
Owen Has been such a blessing to my life. Owen has a condition I like to call PERMA-SMILE! He is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen.
He thinks it is hilarious that he can stand for long periods of time on his own!
He loves to look at himself in the mirror for hours (probably got it from his dad)
He loves Lily unconditionally. She could do nothing wrong in HIS eyes!

He was excited to hang on the playground bar like big sister Lil.
He loves any occasion that involves food! Don't we all!
Owen is a such a great baby. I can't to see what the future brings for him. I can see my Heavenly Fathers love through his eyes. I wish I could freeze time with my kids a lot... though sometimes I wish had a fast forward button at times too, they will always be my biggest accomplishment. The proudest moments in my life are surrounded by my kids. Owen, keep smiling!

Owen is in the 75 percentile in everything
Weighs 23 lbs

Service Project

We had a service project auction at our church a couple weeks ago. I made these dresses for these beautiful sisters.
Its hard to tell but they have a darling flower on the shoulder! It was hard work but seeing these girls wearing their dresses on Sunday made me smile!!

I Know That My Redeemer Lives

Often when I feel bad for myself, or even just having a overwhelming day with kids, this song gives me comfort. I do know my savior lives, and that's why nothing could be too much for me to overcome. I see my savior in my friends, my kids, and even the new leaves sprouting on the tree out my window. He is there for me to calm my troubled heart, to bless me with his love, to feed my soul, and to comfort me. He has gone through everything I have and will go through, and that's why he is my friend....with the best advice.

Oh sunny day-ay!

Brad has a new job that keeps him gone from 3 to midnight! Today we actually got to spend some time as a family. It was such a nice day. 68 degrees makes for a GREAT park day. Especially when your in good company!

There is still snow on the mountains but you would have never guessed it today.
I know, I know...my stomach goes out as far as my chest. (Am I allowed to say that) When its as big as Owens... someone say something! Anyway, after lily took Owen down the slide, I put him up by himself...he started to cry! Sliding isn't his thing!
But its brads! HAHA he barely fit down the slide....I have a couple other pictures of him trying to get out ;)
O's new shoes!
I think we need to give this kid a hair cut..... but isn't he just darling!!! 9 months YESTERDAY!
We like to call this "The Spider"
An attempt at a family picture. Lily always has her tongue out, and Owen...hes not into it!

My boys!
My little drama queen! LOVE HER! Thanks Jill for the shirt;)

Lily and my project

Lily and I decided to make a bean (rice) bag toss today. It has been raining all day and gloomy! This was a fun little project made out of scrap fabric, rice, cardboard box, and wrapping paper! Kinda fun huh?

Baby Animal Days!

This Saturday, Brad and I took Lily and her cousin Marissa to baby animal days in Logan! It ended up being a really nice day! Lily didn't want to have anything to do with the bunnies, baby chicks, baby goats, ducks, and didn't really even enjoy the pony rides! She is DRAMA!! You would have thought the baby chicks were going to eat her alive, the way she was acting! However she loved the bounce house slide, and the delicious fair food though.
Isn't this so beautiful!!

She wouldn't let Brad let go of her! We didn't force her to get on... but she was sure happy to get off.

They had Bear World there too. The baby bears were so cute! I WANT A PET BEAR!

Cute when they are young..... disgusting when they're old! Petty much like any living animal.I fell in love with the bunnies! They were selling them for $10. I was tempted....but then I remembered the eat.....and poop.

Marissa and her favorite bunny.
Lily on her bounce slide. Pretty much the only thing she enjoyed.
Oh wait she loved the Easter Bunny.
Just hugging
Baby turtles
Marissa held the snake but I forgot to get a picture

Oh Easter...

Easter for us involved a long walk...with some skipping (I would make a great Dorothy)

So would Brad.... I love the basket accent
My mother in law Barbara made us a beautiful turkey dinner...it was like thanksgiving all over again!

Coloring eggs was fun. Barb dipped my egg in, who knows WHAT color, and I told her it looked like poop....hence the "poop"

Earlier that day I caught Lily putting her tutu around Owens neck....poor kid!
