6 Weeks to Go...

Peace at the Pool

 

Can I just say, I am a huge fan of arm floaties!!! I took Lily to the pool today and we tried her dollar store arm floaties! They're awesome! I know I sound a little too excited about something that has been around for awhile, but they took so much stress off my day. Once Lily got the hang of letting go of my hands, and knowing that she will still float... I wasn't chasing her around the pool or steps to make sure she didn't fall in. After like 15 minutes she was pushing off the stairs and gliding out to me, in the middle of the pool. Yes... she glided... there was NO kicking :)

Our Memorial Day Weekend

Everyone was posting about their fun camping trips and memorial day fun i decided to post about our memorial day MOVE! Yup, we found a place in Raleigh NC and moved in on Saturday. All of our boxes are about unpacked and we are getting a little more settled. 

As we were unpacking... i couldn't help to notice how many dang hats Brad has... ITS RIDICULOUS! This is just one bag... I opened 2 MORE HUGE boxes of them.

"Say hello to my little friend." This moth is actually really huge. Lily loved it, until it flew in her face... then she ran away screaming crying! ha ha

Brad took all of Lily toys in our trailer probably about 3 months ago in February. So when we got all her toys out... she thought they were all NEW! She kept saying "Oh mom look at my new____" Or "MOM! Look a new horse!" I've come to the conclusion that we should never buy kids toys... we should take them away and give them back months later! Would that be mean? She hasn't come out of her room since.



That should do it... besides eating our dinner on packing boxes this weekend, that about rounds up our exciting memorial day.

I'm trying to find some inexpensive storage bins like these... does anyone know a good place to buy?

Lisa's Birthday!!!

 Today is my sister-in-laws birthday!! Let me tell you how amazing she is.

- shes beautiful

- selfless

- a good mom

- probably one of the most intelligent people i know. (She knows everything there is about the scriptures!) 

Just all around a great person. She is letting Brad and I stay here, at her home, till we find a place to live in NC. Truly a awesome person!

My Birthday/Mothers day

I'm 23!!

I had such a great mothers day and Birthday. Brad woke up early and made me a big breakfast, everyone was home, so we all just got to hang out as a family. Then later that night we grilled some burgers and hot dogs... mmmm i love greasy cheesing hamburgers!!

The cake was very good! My favorite was the chocolate dipped cookies... and the huge chocolate piece in the middle! * My name was spelt wrong so we switched the N and the A and turn the A sideways to look more like an E!

Brad got me Birthstone charms for Lilia and the "baby boy"

Lisa my awesome sister-in-law got my a gift certificate to forever 21... I think Ill save it for when i don't stretch out everything i wear!:)

AND... My mother-in-law sent me this gorgeous watch... THAT SHE MADE!!! I love it sooo much. I actually had been wanting a watch, and i wear this one everyday! LOVE IT. Thanks barb!

*** I also had a doctors app. on Monday to see if my placenta was still low. They were worried that i might have needed a C section... but it moved! So no cutting my insides open! Anyway the doctor measured the baby and said his head was already down... and he was already 4 lbs! I'm not due till JULY 12 PEOPLE!!! I'm going to be one of those moms you see on the news saying... "Women has 14 pound baby.".... hmmm maybe I do want a C section!

Picking strawberrys

Last week I got some cute pictures of Brad and Lily picking strawberries. It was perfect weather but a little sunny so Lily kind of looks wierd

 

This CRACKS me up!

So Brad and I, when we put Lily to bed at night, always read her a couple books. Tonight when Brad put Lily to bed... it was quite hilarious. First, Lily has a new obsession with the book "Are You My Mother?" Its a really cute story... but obviously some is a - little - jelious! Because when i came upstairs and peeked on them Brad was reading "Are You My Daddy." He was replacing each "mother" with "daddy." When I caught him in action I started laughing... and he just looked at me and said "What why do you get it all the time?!"

Day at the park

Sunday we took the family and had a little picnic down at the park. The weather was so hot that day... but when we showed up at about 6:30 the weather was perfect!!

Lisa and i decided to take some modeling pictures...this is also for all of you who have been asking for a belly shot. (29 weeks... and i don't even look pregnant!)

Brad and Travis are making a doll house for Lily. She loves Kailyn's so much, that is all she plays with.

Day 4 of Potty Training

Although Lily did really well on day 3... and it made me have hope, day 4 as awful!

So... I'm quitting for now...

 I KNOW, doesn't that sound awful! I have had so many great comments from my friends encouraging me... but i have turn into kind of a crazy person the last 2 days.

I had to constantly be by Lily's side. Which if you know Lily she already has separation syndrome... so it made it 10 TIMES worse. When she would start going on the floor, i would rush her to the bathroom and she would scream. The times she did go in the toilet, I just guessed by the way she was acting... she never told me before hand. She hates the potty right now.... probably because she pees so stinkin much. If i peed 25 times a day, i would hate the bathroom too.

Also Lily and I haven't left the house for a week... I don't even think i have gotten out of my pajamas. So its made Lily really cranky. Making it harder to train her. 

So if i would like to my home a more peaceful place to live... I think I need to wait a couple months... sad i know.

 

3rd Day of Potty Training!

Today was so much better!

RESULTS-

-1 pee in the toilet

-3 poos in the toilet

-1 poo in the bathtub! SWEET!

...ONLY 4 pees on the floor!...

Day 2 of potty training!

RESULTS-

- 0 pees in the toilet

- 1 pea sized poop in the toilet (which I'm not even sure she pushed out!)

... 18 pees on  THE FLOOR!...

-MY SANITY-

-I cried on the bathroom floor, while my sister in law tried to comfort me.

-I think I'm making Lily constipated

-Its day 2 and I feel like I should have quit 48 hours ago!

GOOD NEWS

*Lily hasn't had an accident while sleeping yet

* and.... oh wait... THAT'S IT

Day 1 of potty training... don't ask!

RESULTS:

- 1 poop in the toilet
- 1 pee in the toilet

...20 pees... on the FLOOR!

I'M EXHAUSTED! We will see what happens tomorrow!

Potty Training!!!

 

"If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."  No wonder I'm scared to death to potty train Lily! I just bought this Ebook about how to potty train kids in 3 DAYS!! I have heard tons of great things about it, http://www.3daypottytraining.com/  I'm really excited but really scared. I was going to start today.. but i wasn't "prepared" and your not allowed to go anywhere for 3 days... and church is tomorrow. So MONDAY WE START!

Happy Easter!

Can I just say, I couldn't believe the way my Easter started! We had to leave Lisa's house by 8:15 to make it to church by 9... it was really that far away! Then I walk into sacrament meeting... probably the smallest ward in all of North Carolina, and i happen to be wearing the same exact dress as the teenage girl in front of me. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!!! I thought... hmm maybe no one will notice, but on my way to the bathroom i heard some of her friends say "hey she has the same dress as.. so and so" ....SWEET! I bought this dress at target about a YEAR ago and its the only thing I can wear to church that fits over my BELLY! Anyway... now that i got that out....
We actually had a really nice Easter, here are some of the pictures.

As some of you know, mostly relatives, the lord had different plans for our family this year. Brads baseball season didn't work out as expected and we are now living in NC. We feel like NC is a good place for us right now. Brad had an AMAZING 7 years with the Braves, and though hard to see go, i think we are all a little excited to see what is ahead of us. Whether he plays for another professional team, or finds something else that he loves to do, we know that we are always taken care of.  Through the years we have had the best families, and friends. Our parents, brothers and sisters, Tom and Charlotte, Kathy, and other friends have always done everything they could to make sure we had everything we need. We really do LOVE them. Happy Easter.
