Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point today with my sister Celeste's family and Brad's friend Casey's family.
It was a hot day, but the kids had a lot of fun!

The cows were a HUGE hit! Who would have thought? I think I'm going to buy a baby cow! The little calf in the picture was so sweet. He stuck his head through the gate and just loved on Lily and Gwen. And talk about hygene... you can't tell in the picture... but i swear that cow bleaches. Anyway... free milk would be a plus?

For CRYING OUT LOUD!!

Well I'm sitting here on the couch, i just put Lily down like any other night, except... with NO BINKY! Yeah, you may be saying "YAY for you," but this SUCKS!! She is screaming her head off, and all i want to do is go in there, and give her that stupid little sucker! Her screaming doesn't bother me, just the fact I could make her feel so much better with one little binky! Isn't growing up hard! DANG IT! WAIT....did she stop?....wait for it, wait for it....by golly i think we've got it......................um nope just kidding.

Swim Lessons

Lily and I started parent-tot swimming lessons today. It was a bitter sweet experience! Lily loved the water, she kicked, scooped, drank the water, but did everything she was told to do... even thought the water heater wasn't working very well... We were FREEZING! Lily and one other little girl were the only ones having fun and enjoying themselves...the rest were screaming!! I felt bad for the moms, trying to do something fun for their kids... but ended up paying to listen to their kid scream for an hour!

This is my new swimsuit... I love it. Even though my body doesnt look like hers in it. Just imagine putting a brick in it... it still looks cute right?

Calling

So i got a new calling today...Im in the Young Womens presidency! I can already tell what a rewarding calling this is going to be. There are not many young women, its kind of an older ward, but i feel like i can grow a lot personally. Today they played this short video for us and i bawled! You have to watch it... it will up lift your day. Show it to your daughters, nieces, grandaughters... it has such a wonderful message. *Turn off my blog music first

Books?

I know this may come as a surprise to most... that I'm not EXTREMELY intelligent...and that I don't find most books interesting. I have probably read 7 books in my life time, the Book of Mormon (only took like 7 years to read! sad.) 4 of them were the twilight series! AMAZING! and the other 2 i have NO clue, they were so long ago. So the whole point of this post is not to tell you how I seem to only finish books with vampires in it, but to ask if any of you could think of a book I would enjoy. Not Harry Potter, and not anything with big words...like ... i don't know Utopia. Thanks, I'm really not retarded... just a little book special! :)

Dad's Home!!!

Lily is so excited to have her dad home... and after 6 weeks i was ready to have my husband back! We had a really relaxing and fun family night. We enjoyed a picnic by the canyons river.

Mother of 3

I had such a busy but fun week. My sister celeste had been trainning for this half marathon at Disneyland and was able to race this weekend. Guess who watched the kids.... better believe it... ME! I went from a mother of 1 to a mother of three... crazy, but quite entertaining. Believe it or not i did quite well. Mark made it to school... we all ate 3 meals a day. I felt pretty proud of myself when i took all three by myself to the kids museum in Salt lake. Although i dont get why they make adults pay to get in. Its like paying someone 8.50 for you to watch your own kids. If you ask me thats a "drop the kids off" price! Anyway they had a blast.

When we got home from the museum it starting to rain. Mark heard the thunder and saw the rain and rushed up stairs to put on his snow clothes. He was really excited

 

Family Night

A Fun Saturday

This Saturday Jill, Troy, Marissa, Lily, and I all walk around downtown Logan... we really had a great time. Early in the morning we woke up and went to a couple garage sales...and i got that cute little outfit lily is wearing. I haven't been to a garage sale in a very,very long time...and i actually enjoyed myself. You cant beat a hardly worn 50 cent outfit!

 

Then we went to lunch and saw all the cute shops... you would never guess some of the WIERD shops we found.... If anyone is in need of a hand blown PIPE, I know the perfect place to get one!

 

Downtown they had a fund raiser, with a bunch of bounce houses; Marissa and Lily had a blast. Dont mind the little boy in the picture... Lily had a facination with him... and he just LAYED there... wierd but...it was quite hilarious.

 

Then we came home and made cookies for our next door neihbors birthday (home made oreos) There AMAZING... as you can tell, Lily cant get enough. I got the recipe from my friend Kizy... who I miss... and NEEDS to come see me!

 

Settling in...

Well we have been in Utah for almost 2 weeks now... and getting anxious for Brad to get here. The season ends September 1st, then he'll be home... YAY!! Everything is going pretty well, except all the adjusting Lily is having to do. Brad Brother and sister-in-law are living with us until December and Lily doesn't really like the fact that she has to share everything... including attention. a

 

She has never had really another friend close to her age around. Her whole life she has been the center of attention. Especially all of her adopted family at all the baseball games. So that would probably be the hardest part. She better get used to it though, because my sister-in-law is about to have TWINS!! YIKES! That should be interesting... Im sure she will do ok.

 

I'll I can say is that i miss Brad so much... I mean, its not anything different, we usually do have to be appart a lot... but this time i REALY miss him. Maybe its because Im around his family... and everywhere we go, people think Troy looks like Brads twin. But Brad is doing really well, we are really proud of him. He works really hard, and this is such a fun time in his life right now.

 

 

One down.... One to go!

Yay!! Lily is finally off the bottle. I cold turkey took away her bottles yesterday. I was a little worried that when she saw the empty bottles in the drawer she would freak out... but i was wrong. She sad "BABA!? PEASE!!" And i just told her she was a big girl now and didn't need one...and tada! MAGIC! No more bottles! Now for the Binky.

I've had better days!

As you all know from my previous post, that Lilia and i had a great day in the sun with our friends. Well when we first got there Saturday i sat lily up at the table to eat her lunch... when i got up from the table she reached for me and fell... no biggy right? Well we finished the day hot tubbing, every once in a while getting frustrated with how fussy she was getting. Saturday passed... Sunday, we went to church... then Monday we moved to Utah. When we got here she was still sooo fussy , and i notice anytime she would trip on anything she would hold her arm. (I just thought it was bruised because she would use it.)Well its FRACTURED!! At this point i am feeling like i am such a great mom! During these last 3 days shes been spanked... put in timeout...which i probably dragged her there by her poor arm!! WHen the doctor told me it was broken... i just started to bawL!! I had just moved across the US, last night I pulled out my back taking my bags in... and now i find out my little baby girl had a fractured arm for 3 days!!! The doctor was a little worried when both lily and i were in pain, probably thought we were abused or something! Of course we're not... anyway although we had a long couple days... I do think her purple cast is pretty cute... dont you. 

Day of Relaxation!

Lily and I went to our friends house in Mississippi. They have this beautiful house on the lake... so we went there for a little hot tubbin' and boating. Watch out for the ALLIGATORS!

Moving.

Lily can always tell when where about to move. She won't let her binky out of her site, she so cranky, everything scares her, and she wants to be held constantley. It happens everytime. Last night Kathy was reading lilia some books and Lily took her binky out of her mouth.... smiled up at kat and said.."bye bye." It was really cute and really sad at the same time. I think she will be happy once we get there... i guess i will be too when all the packing and long plane rides are over!

Growing up

 

Lily gets bigger and bigger everyday! I just love being a mom...yeah sometimes im like "WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!" but it so fun to grow and learn with her. She is saying so many words now...and im loving it. I know its sort of past time... but this month im taking lilia's bottle and binky! It makes me so sad... I guess im the one really attached.
