Build-a-bear!

Lily's Aunt Lisa , cousin Kailyn, and I all went to build-a-bear. I wasn't really sure how Lily was grasp the concept of it... but she did! She was soo excited!!! I love seeing her go from bear to bear gasping and in ahhh of them. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Genealogy

I have never been much for genealogy... don't get me wrong, I love my family, but I'm the kind of person who wants to find everything out all at once... and thats really not how it works. Well, Lily, Brad, and I went to raleigh to visit his brothers and we were staying at his brother Travis's house. Lisa his wife, and i went to their Stake presidents sons fairwell and I got to talking with a guy who was from sacramento ...like me, Well to make this short, HE'S MY SECOND COUSIN! CRAZY!!! My dad and his mom were cousins. Anyway probably way cooler for me than anyone reading this, but it was really nice to talk with someone who remembered my dad, and what a great person he was. The lady in the picture with me is my dads cousin.

Daddy's Back!!!

Dad really isn't back... Lily and I drove to him. Yep! Where moving to Virginia! Lilia was so excited to see her dad. She gave him a huge kiss when she first saw him... it was through a baseball net, but you would have thought we were in a movie because the whole crowd behind us went "ahhhh". But really it was that cute!There is no denying this is his child!! Well.... for a couple of reasons!

Getting Bigger

I really can't believe how big Lily is getting. Not only her size but she is getting to be so smart. She was sitting on my lap today and pointed at my eye and said "eyes?" It was so cute. My favorite thing about her is she is so lovie! She wants hugs and kisses and cuddles all the time... i love that she is so affectionate. It must be all all the Barney she watches. The girl is addicted! Oh yeah, and her eyes are blue, her hair is sandy and curly in the back.... Who's is this child!?

To Kill a Mockingbird

Everyone... i am a bird KILLER! I know this may come as a surprise to most because I'm gentle, loving, and kind. No Im kidding, but i really did kill a mockingbird. Anyway this is how it all went down. We have this bird at our house, that sits up on top of the chimney. It is constantly screeching all day long. But thats not all! Not only does this bird yelp all day long... but ALL night long too... i think it was half nocturnal (or blind). Seriously it never slept. Well the other day i had just put lily down for a nap... and then went to the couch to rest and watch Reba. That dang little guy... he just wouldn't stop. Dont get me wrong... I yelled up the chimney a few times to warn him... but he just egged me on. So i went out side and found a rock. Now again, in my mind i thought, with my aim there is no way i will hit this bird, ill just scare it. OH NO... i hit it... i hit it hard. I should have aimed for it, then i might have missed it. Anyway there will be no more bird squawkin' down my Chimney. Really it breaks my heart... he kinda was like a special rooster.

Who would have thought?

I saw this on my friends blog, and i thought... huh why not. I answered completely honest... thats why i think this so hilarious. I know... Im a dinsey FREAK!! Anyway i had fun... and it was OH so exciting! TRY IT!!!

Mothers Day

I just love being a mom. Lily has grown so fast... and just gets cuter and cuter everyday! She is running all over the place now. Yesterday we were taking a little walk and lets just say lily is a little unstable walking on grass. So as we were walking across the front lawn she started to fall, and i said woh woh woh! Now anytime she feels unsteady or she is going to fall she say woh woh woh! Its hilarious.... well it would be if you were here. Anyway i had a good mothers day. Brad got to go to church with me and then i took him to the airport. Not a huge day of excitement, but relaxing.

Oh Birthdays...

Brad bought me this beautiful acoustic/electric guitar! NO WAY!!

I bought Lily a kiddie pool... too bad she would rather play in it then swim in it.
We also went to a little fair down the road. We ate fair food and ran around eating dirt!!! YUMMM!!

Any Resemblence??

We all know Lily is a spitting image of Brad. So we did a little experiment to see if she looks anything like her mother WHO CARRIED HER FOR 9 MONTHS!!

Greatful

Well its about 11:30 at night and i have really just been thinking today about how much the lord blesses are lives. I am so greatful to know that i have an eternal family.... that Brad and i were sealed for time AND ETERNITY! Kathy and I were both talking tonight about are fathers. Both who have passed on, and i have so much comfort in knowing that families can be together forever. I don't think are Father in Heaven intended for families to end after death, but to extend into the eternities. I know it is something you have to work towards, and maybe something i won't fully understand til the time comes, but tonight as i sit here and think... im greatful.

My Disaster

Can I just say, I would be the worst person to be with, if there really was an emergency! As most of you know we live in Mississippi, with one of the sweetest ladies. Well on the 4th I was in the shower, lily was sleeping, and brad was out of town when I heard this really loud siren outside. So I get out and call Kathy, the lady we live with. I told her about the siren I was hearing outside, and she looked on the internet… to see what was going on. Then Kathy say there is a tornado supposed to be coming through in like 5 min!! I was like WHAT! The closest I have ever come to a natural disaster, is blowing out a fuse from my hair dryer. Anyway she tells me to get Lily and get in the bathtub. While all this is going on I’m bawling, trying to grab everything I need around the house. As we get to the bathtub I managed to bring Lily (of course), some cupcakes, oranges, lunch meat, the phone, and a flashlight. Which when all the power went out a few minutes later… the phone didn’t work…and the flash light was broken. So now I’m down to some pointless snacks to protect us from the tornado! Did I mention the bottom of the bathtub was drenched from my shower. I finally found my cell phone which was in my pants pocket from earlier and shined it on lily to see if she was freaking out. NO… she was just chillin' eating the BAR OF SOAP!! Anyway we lived… just don’t ever count on me in a disaster!

YAY!!!

For those of you who don't know Brad got to pitch in the big leagues! Isn't that awesome!

Lilia's 1st Birthday

Today was Liia's first birthday! I feel like she was just born last month. We decided to go to the Logan Zoo. Its more like a bunch of ponds, that ducks like to come visit! If you look at the picture of Barb she is actually putting money in a little tin tube for admission. But it ended up being really fun though. The ducks were actually her favorite part. Then we went to ice cream, and to get new shoes. Believe it or not... Lily had more fun eating the napkin then the ice cream.And note to mom... Lily does not do well keeping the shoes on the rack. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE!
