Little behind... Owen started school!

 

Owen,
I can't believe you started preschool this year! You were so ready! I dropped you off, and before I turned around to leave you had already made 3 friends. You don't have shy bone in your body.
I miss you during the day... having preschool everyday makes for a quiet 3 hours at the house.
Your teachers love you... when I ask if you were good that day, they just smile... and tell me boys will be boys! Great...

You can spell your name (although your E is always backwards), and a couple other words as well. I get an "I love mom" letter from you at least twice a week.

I cut your hair a week after this picture, because you come home so sweaty from running around on the playground. You have a great imagination.

Be a leader, a good friend, and a good example to all those friends you are making.

Your 1st day of 1st grade!

Oh Lily! 

You are the most beautiful girl... inside and out. You constantly look in the mirror before school, and I hate it. I hope one day you will believe me when I say you are perfect in every way. You are so sweet to everyone, and that why I know you will do great! 

Dad and I said a prayer with you before school, to help you make good friends, have a clear mind, and be an example to everyone around you. 

Today I got a letter from your teacher telling me how well behaved you are! It doesn't surprise me! 

I love you so much. Have a great 1st grade year!

Happy Birthday Owen

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE BIG BOY! I love you so much. Don't get me wrong... you know exactly how to pull my strings, but you are the sweetest little boy when you want to be! You have suddenly become very attached to me. Anytime you go to primary, or go play at the gym... it usually ends with tears and around 15 "I love you, goodbyes." I can't believe you are 4! When you were about 18 months, I told my mom how special your little spirit was, and how you were going to be something big one day.... I still believe that.
 

Your dimples still get me every time! You love to laugh with your sister, or I guess you should say make HER laugh. Today she made you about 3 birthday cards, and you told her you loved her and hugged her for everyone. On our bike ride today I heard you tell her she was your best bud.

You start preschool 5 days a week next month. Not quite sure what I will do without you for 3 hours... the house will be quiet. I hope you are an example to all your friends, sense we all know you don't have any trouble making them. I love being your mom.

Memorial Day

We spent are beautiful Memorial Day, just home as a family, enjoying each others company. Probably the best day I have had in a long time!

It was truly a great day to spend time as a family. Makes you grateful for those who send family members away to fight for our country. Happy Memorial day!

If you know me... you know I don't have the best luck when it comes to dogs.... until now baby! I had been going to see this little lady a couple times a week, until my brother James decided she should be mine. Do you have an amazing big brother.... cuz I DO!

Lily got the little sister she always wanted.... and I got the little girls name that Brad would never let me use :) 

She loves to cuddle...

 

AND LOVES to play.... especially with Owen.... they are double trouble for sure!
 

 

 

I am so happy she is in our family... and even more happy she keeps Owen busy! Thank you James for such an amazing Birthday/mothers day gift! All of us adore her... and all of us LOVE YOU!!!!

Summer Fun!

I took the kids to the splash pad the other day and it was a big hit! I decided I love splash pads.... less stress!!
 

I just Love his sweet smiling face! Lots of sunscreen on this little red head!
 

Seriously who wouldn't love a brother like Owen... constant fun! He's a pretty good kid (sometimes you wanna scream) but all and all a good kid... AND he LOVES his sister!
 

And, I can honestly say I think she is the best big sister there is.

This was one of those days were being a mom, was both rewarding and EASY! Just a plain ol' fun day!
